Back in 2016, I started listening to lots of Raga Indian music after finding a video of Ravi Shankar on Youtube. I had always heard his name in passing online but never understood who he was. I started exploring different Sitar and Sarod artists and then started producing some of my own Indian Raga soundtracks. I don’t think that I have mentioned it yet on this blog but I have been producing stock music since 2012 and license out my music on AudioJungle and Envato Elements. I produce tracks in many different styles. In 2016 I produced more than a few Indian style music tracks for my stock music portfolio. Meditation Raga
Meditation Raga is a relaxing and ambient Indian music track that starts off with a gorgeous flute melody and a Tanpura drone riff over deep ambient new age sounds. It continues and builds up with wonderful sitar melodies, electronic synths and stunning Tabla rhythms.

Raga Summer
A Raga in Indian music is a pattern of notes having characteristic intervals, rhythms, and embellishments, used as a basis for improvisation.
Raga Summer is a relaxing and happy ambient Indian track that features wonderful Bansuri Flute melodies, Tanpura drone riffs and some electronic synth sounds.
This melody is loosely based of the Abhogi scale in Hindustani music and classic Indian orchestral music.

Raga Bihag
Raga Bihag is a beautiful piece of Indian Classical Music featuring Tanpuras, Sitars and Electronic synth sounds. It is a melody from an ancient time and this is my slightly modern production of it. Bihag is a nighttime Raga and it is very emotional and romantic.
I have also added a small duet between the main sitar melody with a Chinese Erhu Violin to give it more depth and feeling.
I have produced it in the same style as Ravi Shankar’s way of playing and it sounds like a real live band is playing it.

Indian Raga Flute Music
This track is a beautiful and uplifting Indian style soundtrack. The main instrument in the track is the Indian Bansuri Flute playing gorgeous spiritual melodies. The flute is accompanied by a Sitar, Indian Tabla Percussion, Shakers and minimal electronic sounds. At first it has a very chill relaxing meditation style sound and then it builds up to an amazing cinematic climax before slowing down again for a break. After the emotional break the track becomes more fast paced with the addition of new electronic drums and synths. This is a very unique and modern sounding track. It is heavily influenced by Indian Orchestral Music.
